This Econic® product has been purpose-designed for products requiring a high moisture barrier. It has a high oxygen and moisture barrier.
Great for freezing, these bags are suitable for meat, cheese and other fresh produce with a higher moisture content. Ideal for keeping your chilled product safely packaged for chicken, up to 20 days, and frozen 30 days and red meats, up to 7 weeks fresh and 3 months frozen!
These bags can even be cut down to a required size and resealed.
As Econic films are designed for commercial use, they do not come with the perforated or ridged interiors seen on home standard vacuum bags. This is because we want to give our customers the best performing product we can.
What this means for you is that you’ll need a vacuum sealer, that has an industrial snorkel / nozzle attachment. This ensures that there is a proper vacuum created in the bag right up to the moment it is sealed. (A chamber style unit may work as well, we have only tested with a snorkel.)
This bag is clear, with dimensions 200 mm x 165 mm + 89 micron. It is a vacuum pack bag.
Not suitable for sous-vide cooking. If you're not sure about your product's suitability, contact us for more info.
Econic is easy for your customers to dispose of, as any worm farm or home compost bin is an ideal environment for decomposition. (We recommend disposing of your Econic bags in an environment containing heat, water, oxygen, soil and micro-organisms.)
